The first thing I’ll say about this book is that it is not just for women. It is a book for all Christians. Second, it is not a defense of women working in full time ministry or women preaching or anything like that. Instead, Bessey casts a vision for the church. In her vision, men and women serve alongside one another using whatever gifts God has given them. Just as a basketball player wouldn’t want to play with only one arm, so it makes no sense for the church to go into the world with only half its people at full strength. Bessey is a fantastic writer and I continue to pray her dream for God’s people comes to fruition.
