#39 – A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (My 100 Favorite Books)

Everyone knows the story and has their favorite version of it.  Personally, I prefer the Muppets, though Mickey’s Christmas Carol always has a place in my heart.  The reason there are so many film adaptations is that this is a beautiful story.  How much better can you get than a grumpy, greedy old miser who is redeemed and changes his life to use his money to help people?

Dickens’ story is worth your time, even if you’ve seen every adaptation under the sun.  Its a great book, and not too long.  With Christmas on the horizon, why not give it a shot?
